He served as the Commander of the Armies under his brother the previous Archangel after proving himself in the battle of the Eternal Tower. After his brother was killed, he was a high contender to become Archangel himself, but eventually Sidriel was chosen instead.
He has an interesting sort of relationship with Sidriel, since Sidriel is driven mainly by peace whereas Melios likes war and wants to fight. He does not really believe in the truce Sidriel and Beleth arranged, and therefore is suspicious of all demons and even Ansiel for spending too much time with them.
He has a quick temper, but in the art of war he is unmatched.
